5/17/2023 EnchantaVaughn Approved 1.Behavior: QMHP-C greeted Ashiyah upon arrival to the home setting. Upon arrival to the home setting, Ashiyah appeared to be in a content mood evident by her facial expressions. At the beginning of the session, Ms. Hodge discussed with QMHP-C that she is tired of Ashiyahâs behaviors and the disrespect towards her. Ms. Hodge indicated to QMHP-C, âI want to be able to show Ashiyah that I love her and will meet her needs, but at the same time, she needs to understand that when I ask her to complete certain task and do certain things within this home and school, that is what I meanâ. 2. Behavior: Ashiyah interrupted her mother several times and indicated to QMHP-C, âMs. Vaughn, momma be tripping over the small little things bruhâ. QMHP-C informed Ashiyah and her mother that this session was going to focus on the rules and expectations within the home, community, and school setting. 1.Intervention: QMHP-C began session by inquiring about Ashiyahâs current thoughts, feelings and emotions. QMHP-C explored with Ashiyah and Ms. Hodge the rules and expectations in the home and Ashiyahâs behaviors in the home. QMHP-C engaged Ashiyah and her mother in an activity to assist with building the communication relationship between the two of them. QMHP-C instructed Ms. Hodge to provide QMHP-C with the normal rules and expectations within the home on a daily basis and how does she enforce those expectations. QMHP-C utilized a strengths based approach and encouraged Ashiyah and her mother to focus on their strengths. 2. Intervention: QMHP-C redirected Ashiyah throughout the session to remain in the session and be respectful towards her mother as she spoke. QMHP-C encouraged Ms. Hodge to continue setting an enforcing consistent consequence and encouraged Ashiyah to verbalize her feelings in an appropriate manner. QMHP-C explained to Ashiyah that her mother is the adult and she is the child and she continues to need to adhere to the rules even though she feels as though her mother is unfair to her at times.
